1. Overview

BuildGenius is a product of Deyva Infotech. At BuildGenius, we want you to be completely satisfied with our service. This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which refunds may be requested and processed.

2. Free Trial

BuildGenius offers 1 free estimate for new users. During the free tier:

  • No credit card is required to start
  • Access to all features with your free estimate
  • No charges until you choose to upgrade
  • Upgrade anytime to a paid plan for more estimates

3. Subscription Cancellation

3.1 Monthly Subscriptions

  • You may cancel at any time through your account settings
  • Access continues until the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds for partial months
  • Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation

3.2 Annual Subscriptions

  • Annual plans receive a discount (approximately 20% off monthly rate)
  • Refunds are available within the first 30 days if you are not satisfied
  • After 30 days, no refunds are provided but you retain access for the full year
  • Pro-rated refunds are not available after the 30-day period

4. Refund Eligibility

Refunds ARE provided when:

  • Technical issues prevent you from using the service (verified by our team)
  • Duplicate charges or billing errors occur
  • Annual subscription cancelled within 30 days of purchase
  • Service unavailable for extended periods (over 48 hours)

Refunds are NOT provided for:

  • Partial month usage on monthly subscriptions
  • Unused estimates within your plan limit
  • Change of mind after using the service extensively
  • Dissatisfaction with AI analysis results (estimates are guidance only)
  • Account suspension due to terms violation
  • Failure to cancel before renewal

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  1. Email [email protected] with subject "Refund Request"
  2. Include your account email and the reason for refund
  3. Provide any relevant order/invoice numbers
  4. We will respond within 2-3 business days

6. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • Processing times depend on your bank or card issuer
  • You will receive email confirmation once the refund is processed

7. Plan Downgrades

If you downgrade your subscription plan:

  • The new rate takes effect at the next billing cycle
  • You retain access to higher-tier features until the current period ends
  • No partial refunds for the difference between plans
  • Data and projects are preserved (subject to new plan limits)

8. Overage Charges

If you exceed your plan's estimate limit:

  • Overage charges apply at the published rate
  • Overage fees are non-refundable
  • Consider upgrading to a higher plan if you regularly exceed limits

9. Enterprise & Custom Plans

For Business and Enterprise customers with custom contracts:

  • Refund terms are specified in your service agreement
  • Contact us directly for refund requests
  • Custom terms take precedence over this general policy
